This policy explains what Ormeval stores on your device, why, and how you can change your choice. In short: we use first-party browser storage to make the product work, one consent-gated analytics signal to improve it, and no advertising cookies or cross-site trackers. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
These keep the service working and cannot be switched off. Except for the sign-in cookie noted at the end, they are first-party local storage on your own device, not transmitted to us as tracking cookies:
catalyst:aid), attached to the consent-gated usage events below so your own activity can be exported and erased on request without an account. It is random, first-party, and never shared for advertising.catalyst:terms-accepted). Written only when you tick the acceptance box while creating an account. The app also uses short-lived per-tab session markers (for example, that a notice has already been shown in this tab) which disappear when the tab closes.
Clearing your browser's site data removes these and resets your preferences.
To understand which pages and actions are useful, we record a limited set of usage events. These fire only after you accept, your consent is the legal basis, and are never sold or shared with advertisers, nor used to track you across other websites. Events are stored in our own first-party event store. PostHog is our named analytics sub-processor and receives a copy of those events only while third-party analytics is switched on; it is configured for EU-hosted infrastructure. It is not enabled today, so today no analytics events leave our own store. You can always check the current state on our sub-processor list. If you decline, no analytics events are sent, and the rest of the product works exactly the same.
Ormeval does not embed advertising networks, social-media pixels, or cross-site tracking scripts. We do not build advertising profiles and do not share your activity with third-party ad platforms. Where a third-party service is used to operate the product (for example authentication, payments, or hosting), it is listed as a service provider in our Privacy Policy.
You can change your consent at any time with the analytics toggle in Settings, one click, effective immediately - or reset your choice there to bring the consent banner back. Withdrawal stops capture and clears the analytics identifier in this and other open tabs. Disabling analytics never limits access to the catalog, forecasts, or your cockpit.
We may update this policy as the product evolves; material changes are reflected in the “last updated” date above. Analytics is off unless you accept it, and no analytics or tracking data is stored before you choose; the strictly-necessary keys in section 1 are the only storage that exists without consent. When we enable analytics we will publish the individual cookies and local-storage keys, with their purpose and lifetime, on this page.
