NCT06698042; active.
Baseline profile - No forecast model has been built for this indication yet. What is shown is the approval and trial record, with its sources.
milestone crossed (confirmed quarter)·upcoming / estimated (~)These are regulatory approval dates (FDA/EMA/NMPA/PMDA), not commercial launch; launch follows after pricing & reimbursement (see the access-lag column in the HTA table). Pipeline: quarters projected from readout timing, not yet approved. Cross-checked against Merck & Co. disclosures and regulator databases.
Synthesised from this indication's verified milestones (pivotal readout, regulatory approvals/decisions) and the asset's expected LOE: filled = passed, open = upcoming. Competitor-level catalysts are tracked on the disease-landscape view below.
This is a delivery-format switch, not a new indication or new efficacy claim. In MK-3475A-D77 the SC formulation showed comparable pharmacokinetics and no notable difference in ORR, PFS or OS versus IV pembrolizumab, a non-inferiority / bioequivalence bridge, not an outcome win. Value is in ~2–5 minute SC injection vs IV infusion (chair-time / capacity), and in defending the franchise against IV-pembrolizumab biosimilars expected after the 2028 US composition-of-matter LOE. No incremental efficacy benefit is claimed.
Development to approval
This indication is not yet approved; approval is expected, not granted. Per-market timing is modelled from the Phase 3 readout plus standard regulatory lags (US/EU ~1 yr; Japan/China ~2 yr), an estimate, not company guidance.
Intramural program. Operates within the KEYNOTE-024 / KEYNOTE-042 (1L metastatic NSCLC, PD-L1 high, IV pembrolizumab monotherapy) patient pool, which is already monetised on its own page. Any approval here would re-segment that pool, not add a new one, so it carries no standalone revenue line to avoid double-counting the franchise.
First-line metastatic NSCLC with PD-L1 TPS ≥50% and no EGFR/ALK/ROS1 aberration is served by IV pembrolizumab monotherapy (KEYNOTE-024/-042). Keytruda Qlex is a fixed-dose co-formulation of pembrolizumab with berahyaluronidase alfa (a recombinant hyaluronidase permeation enhancer, the Alteogen/Halozyme-class ENHANZE-style approach) enabling subcutaneous administration in ~1–2 minutes. The pivotal MK-3475A-D77 study randomised treatment-naïve metastatic NSCLC patients 2:1 to SC Keytruda Qlex Q6W + platinum-doublet chemotherapy vs IV pembrolizumab Q6W + chemotherapy.
This is Merck's principal life-cycle / LOE-defence lever for the Keytruda franchise (Keytruda's US composition-of-matter patent expires ~2028, opening the door to IV biosimilars). A subcutaneous co-formulation with its own IP runway lets Merck migrate patients to a differentiated, harder-to-substitute presentation ahead of biosimilar entry, while offering genuine site-of-care convenience (injection vs chair-time infusion). It creates no new addressable pool, every SC patient is an existing IV-eligible patient, so the value is franchise retention and margin defence, not market expansion.
Randomised (2:1), multicentre, open-label, active-controlled Phase 3 (n=377) in treatment-naïve metastatic NSCLC without EGFR/ALK/ROS1 aberrations. SC Keytruda Qlex Q6W + platinum-doublet chemotherapy vs IV pembrolizumab Q6W + platinum-doublet chemotherapy. Co-primary endpoints were pharmacokinetic (exposure) non-inferiority; efficacy (ORR/PFS/OS) was a supportive/secondary comparison.

No commercial forecast. This is an early Phase 2 program with no efficacy read-out yet, so a per-country revenue model would be speculation, not analysis. We publish a forecast once a registrational read-out de-risks the setting. The figures on the approved- and Phase 3indication pages already capture this asset's monetised and near-term pools.
Reported figures are public facts from company filings; the forward peak is Ormeval's own modelled estimate, not company guidance and not analyst consensus. Approval and readout dates are cross-checked against public regulator and company disclosures. Not investment advice.
